Bianca Ojukwu releases clear video of her altercation with Obiano's wife

Bianca Ojukwu has released a clearer video of her altercation with Ebelechukwu, the wife of former governor of Anambra State.

The scuffle occurred during the inauguration of Chukwuma Soludo as the new governor of the state on March 17th, 2022.

The swearing ceremony took place at the government house in Anambra. With dignitaries in attendant.

In the video seen by TMZNaija, Ebelechukwu stood up from where she was seated with her husband and moved to where Bianca, a former Nigeria's ambassador to Spain, was seated and hauled invectives at her.

She then touched Bianca on her shoulder and pushed her face. Bianca then rose and gave Ebelechukwu a slap, leading to a commotion.

The incident drew the attention of security agents and some personalities who pulled Obiano’s wife away from Bianca.

The former First Lady was taken away by security operatives from the scene of the event and shortly afterwards, her husband left the venue.
In a Facebook post where she released the video on April 11, 2022, Bianca wrote:

"The most insidious fear is that which masquerades as caution, yet paralyses the human spirit and propagated by purveyors of passivity and lame sophistication who have nothing other than lame sympathy to offer after the meek are mauled,...yet this fact is sure....Any act or series of acts conducted in the public space or otherwise, and craftily calculated to intimidate and humiliate the individual; to threaten the intrinsic worth of that person and to diminish that person’s will or prestige remains nothing other than the raw exercise of power in the form of Bullying. Your dignity may be assaulted but it can never be taken away unless you surrender it by passivity. You may not win every battle in life but the world will at least know what you stood for....YOU “ ( S. Alder)

"I stand with Alder. Dignity is a human right, and bullying in any form is not an entitlement, a rite of passage or an executive privilege. It must not be condoned or tolerated in any form. The future does not belong to the belongs to the bold."

Bianca and Ebelechukwu have reportedly been at loggerheads for years over Obiano’s alleged mismanagement of the State's resources.

Speaking on what led to the fight, Bianca, in a statement said Obiano’s wife “was intoxicated” and used “unprintable vile language” while speaking with her at the event.

“As the inaugural ceremonies for Prof Charles Soludo and his deputy began and all guests were seated, the former First Lady of Anambra State, Mrs Ebele Obiano, was noticeably absent,” the statement reads.

“She then arrived some one-and-a-half hours later while the ceremony was on. I didn’t pay any particular attention to her arrival.

“Surprisingly, she then walked towards me and I thought she was coming to greet me. Instead, when she got to where I was seated, she verbally attacked me with her voice raised, taunting me and asking me what I was there to do and using unprintable vile language.

“She asked if I had come to celebrate their last day in office. But I ignored her completely. Then, she kept aggressively putting her hands on my shoulders and shouting.

"While I ignored her verbal onslaught, as advised by those sitting around me, I requested twice that she refrain from touching me with her hands.

“She proceeded to do so yet again and went further to grab at my headtie, which she attempted unsuccessfully to remove.

“This very act is considered a sacrilege to a titled matriarch such as myself in Igbo culture. It was at this point that I stood up to defend myself and gave her a dirty slap to stop her from attacking me.

“As she made towards me, I then pulled away her wig. She held onto her wig with her two hands and tried to take the wig away from me.

“The former APGA chairman, Umeh, told her to leave me and engaged APGA members that had gathered at the spot to lead her away, which they did and took her to the seat next to her husband Chief Willie Obiano who sat through the entire episode completely speechless.

“What struck me through the whole episode was the fact that she was clearly intoxicated. I was stunned by the stench of whisky in her breath at such an early hour of the day.

“How could a first lady be so drunk and proceed to turn up in that state at an Inauguration ceremony that began at 9am? It is unfortunate that she threw all caution to the wind and imported this kind of melodrama to a state ceremony.”

Bianca, the wife of late military leader, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, was recently appointed by Governor Soludo as the Secretary of the Truth, Justice and Peace Committee.

While Ebele Obiano has picked form to contest for the seat of Anambra North Senatorial District under APGA.
