Moment Buhari told governor Hope Uzodinma "I will be careful with your future invitations" (VIDEO)

President Muhammadu Buhari's one-day, or should we say two-hour visit to Imo state on Thursday September 9, 2021, has continued to generate conversation online.

From his Isi-Agu outfit which has become a butt of joke on social media, to the empty streets that welcomed the President in Owerri, the Imo state capital.

While speaking at a town hall meeting with South-east leaders, Buhari had wondered why Igbos would want to leave Nigeria despite "being in charge of the country’s economy.’’

The President had acknowledged the resourcefulness and enterprising spirit of Igbo people, and promised that the Federal Government would complete ongoing key projects in the South-east.

He also praised the government of Hope Uzodinma for the projects in Imo state, which he actually came to commission.

However, Buhari ended his speech by saying, "but I will be careful with your future invitations".

It is not clear why the President made the comment. Maybe because of the "embarrassing reception" by Imo people or he was disappointed with the administration of Hope Uzodinma.
