Tears as members, sympathisers storm Synagogue church after TB Joshua's death (PHOTOS)

Members of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos woke up with the shocking news on Sunday morning that their spiritual leader has died.

The news of the sudden death of Temitope Joshua, popularly known as Prophet TB Joshua, broke in the early hours of Sunday.

According to a statement released by the church, the charismatic pastor died on Saturday evening after concluding a programme at the church.

Though the cause of his death has not been officially disclosed, reports said he fell ill two days ago. 

The pastor also had stroke two months ago and was flown by air ambulance to Turkey for treatment. He returned to the country after treatment.

The church has been reportedly sealed off following the sudden death of the founder.

Thousands of his church members and sympathisers who thronged the church, in disbelief over the Prophet’s death could not gain access to the premises.

Most of them gathered outside, screaming his name and sharing testimonies of the good deeds of the late pastor.
Joshua, who started the ministry in 1987 after "receiving a divine anointing and a covenant from God", woud have been 58 on June 12.
