Despite his death, hundreds of TB Joshua's followers await healing in his church, says he's not dead

Despite the death of their spiritual leader, Prophet T. B. Joshua, many members of the Synagogue Church of All Nations were said to have refused to leave the church premesis on Sunday.

The church members who woke up to the heartbreaking news of the passing of the pastor had thronged the church on Sunday with the hope of getting healed.

The charismatic televangelist died on Saturday evening shortly after a programme in his church.

Despite knowing the cleric had died, his followers refused to leave, hoping for some miracle powers to be unleashed from the body of the deceased.
Many also sought access to his body, saying they would go and raise him themselves from the dead.

Many members and visitors that usually visit the church premises were denied access on Sunday as security operatives cordoned off the building.

Some other members of the church said that there were sick people in the Synagogue who were also awaiting healing and miracles.
Church members were seen outside the premises worshipping God as many called for the barricade to be removed so they can go and raise him themselves.

According to them, he has not died but only taking a nap for spiritual empowerment.

A woman screamed, “Papa, please rise up, your many children are out here waiting for you. Please rise up and come and address us. You are not dead! Many sick people are inside waiting for you to heal them. See this my leg here, I came so your word can touch this leg. You are not dead!"
However, some members of the church said they believed he had died because he already predicted his death in Saturday's sermon.

Some of visitors who came outside Lagos to seek prayers at the church only to meet reports of his untimely death.

An aged woman told journalists that she had been visited by Joshua in a trance.

The woman said at 3 pm on Saturday, she felt a movement at her house, and checked everywhere but saw no one. The visitation, she said, was evident on Sunday morning when she saw some naira notes in her bible.

Some other members around the woman confirmed that the prophet said he would visit them.
