Panic in Enugu as Father Mbaka is declared missing, Church members storm Catholic headquarters

There is panic in Enugu state as Catholic Priest, Ejike Mbaka, has been declared missing by members of his Church.

The popular Reverend Father, who is the spiritual director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu state, recently clashed with the Presidency after calling for President Muhammadu Buhari to resign or be impeached over worsening insecurity in Nigeria.

His Church members have stormed the residence of Catholic Bishop of the Enugu Diocese, Bishop Callistus Onaga, to demand for the whereabouts of the Priest.

BBC report says members had gathered on Wednesday morning for their usual church programme at the Adoration ground only to receive the news that Father Mbaka's whereabout is unknown.

They were to Bishop Onaga had called Mbaka on Wednesday that he wants to see him in his residence. Since Mbaka went to see the Bishop he has not returned and nobody knows his whereabout.

The announcement got his followers angry and they marched straight to the Bishop's house to demand for information about Mbaka.

After being told that the Bishop is not around, the protesters then marched to Holy Ghost Catholic Cathedral, the Bishop's parish.

They protesting church members are insisting they won't leave the premises until they get answers.

BBC also reports that some properties in the Bishop's residence have been destroyed.
