The number of Coronavirus cases confirmed in Nigeria crossed 100,000 mark on Sunday, 10 of January, 2021.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 1,024 new cases of the infection were reported in 16 states and the federal capital territory on Sunday.
In the first ten days of the year 2021, the country has already recorded 12, 507 cases of COVID-19.
With the new figure, Nigeria has now recorded 100,087 positive samples.
253 patients also recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, while 8 deaths were recorded in the same period.
With this, 80,030 have recovered and been discharged and 1,358 deaths have been recorded across the country.
The number of patients still battling the virus in the country now is 18,699.
According to the NCDC, 1,025,560 persons has so far been officially tested for COVID-19 in Nigeria.
