Moment Joe Biden called Nigerian family who donated to his election campaign (WATCH)

When Nigerian immigrant family in Springfield, Illinois received a call that the US President-Elect Joe Biden would want to speak to them, they couldn't believe it.

Biden had called Dr Oke and his family to thank them for support and donations towards his election campaign.

The family, from Ibadan, Oyo state, had a conversation with Biden, the man who will soon become the President of the most powerful nation on earth.

In the 12-minute long call, Biden noted that they were randomly selected from a list of campaign donors which included Dr Oke and his family.

Biden also had a chat with Dr Oke's daughters, Josephine and Beatrice and also extended to them an invitation to the White House "when the pandemic is under control".

He assured them that "we do what we say" when Dr Oke said, "please make it real."

The excited family also spoke with the incoming first lady, Jill Biden, who also thanked them for their support.

Dr Oke had made two contributions ($7 and $5) to the Biden campaign.

Joe Biden will be sworn-in today, Wednesday, January 20, as the 46th president of the United States of America.
