Borno pastor says Boko Haram leader Shekau is critically ill and want prayers from Nigerians

Rev. Desmond Yunana of the Anglican Church Nigeria in Borno state, says Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Sheaku, is critically ill and wants prayer from Nigerians.

According to TheCable, the cleric said this while delivering a sermon in church on Sunday.

Rev. Yunana said last night, he had a revelation that the health condition of the leader of the terror group is very bad.

He said Shekau, who needs prayer from both Christian and Muslims residents of Maiduguri, is ready to ask for forgiveness.

His comments comes one month after a captured teenage fighter, Mohammed Adam, said the Boko Haram leader can no longer walk effectively.

Adam, who is currently in custody of the Nigerian Army, said Shekau got injured during an air bombardment on an insurgents’ camp in Tumbuktu, Sambisa forest, a Boko Haram stronghold in Borno state.

Shekau, known for taunting the military in videos, has not been seen on his feet lately as he has released video where he is seen sitting or in some cases, using audio to pass across his message.

Shekau and his Boko Haram members has killed thousands of Nigerians, including security operatives mostly in the North East since they started their terrorist activities.
