Also dead in the accident are Mrs Nnenna Ukachukwu, owner of British Nigerian Academy, Abuja, and wife of former House of Representatives member, Prince Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu, from Anambra state, and Chinyere Azike of Nwangele, Imo state, who just lost her husband, Chief Benji Azike, last year.
They were on their way to Ilaje in Ondo state for the burial of Olusola Oke’s mother when a trailer hit their vehicle. Olusola Oke's wife is from Imo state.
Ndoma-Egba, a former chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), was a three-term Senator, representing Cross River Central Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate from 2003 to 2015.
The former senator has lost three relatives within a few months this year.
Between June and August, his mother-in-law, his own mother and media aide died.
His residence in Calabar, Cross River state, was vandalized in last month by hoodlums after the End SARS protest turned violent.
