Take me to court If you have any issues with me, Fani-Kayode dares estranged wife

Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has challenged his estranged wife, Precious Chikwendu, to take him to court if she has any issues with him.

On Saturday, a video of the politician verbally abusing his now estranged wife had surfaced online.

The video come weeks after the couple separated, with reports attributing the split to domestic violence and infidelity.

While reacting to the video, FFK had claimed that the altercation with his wife was because he caught her in bed with a married man few days earlier. He also denied ever physically abusing his estranged wife.

On Sunday, the ex-minister released another statement via his social media platforms where he asked Precious to stop secretly feeding the media with damaging scandals against him.

FFK wrote: "I have chosen to take the high horse and I refuse to allow my estranged wife to turn the affairs of my personal life into a public circus.

"If she has any issues let her use the right medium as a responsible adult and mother and stop secretly feeding the media with damaging scandals geared towards the destruction of our children's future.

"I have kept quite in order to protect my children, I have covered all her madness over the past 7 years and not once did I expose her . But the facts are there and the witnesses and evidence are readily available for the courts.

"I broke my silence yesterday only because my hand has been forced. Rather than focusing on the problem of brutality and evil plaguing our country, or the myriad of other issues holding citizens hostage, some people would prefer to spread and partake in what amounts to celebrity gossip and chopped videos. Who in Nigeria does this benefit exactly? What is the use?

"Those involved in this smear campaign are begging for further responses which I will not give them. My private relationship and any disagreements therein are just that: PRIVATE and I have learned my lesson on feeding into parasocial media culture.

"My children and their dignity comes first and I refuse to help these individuals tarnish their image any further.

"The ringleader of this media scandal and her collaborators may continue polluting news sites and blogs with spam and begging for crumbs of attention with wild tales as long as they wish.

"Acting is a professional field all on its own but thankfully so is law. Any and all videos, testimonies, documentation and other evidence coming from my end will only be displayed in court, where this issues can be resolved once and for all.

"If this person speaks the truth, they will be happy to meet me there, instead of peddling stories. My next tweets and posts will be focused solely on relevant issues. Thank you."

The collapse of Fani-Kayode's fourth marriage has been attracting a lot of negative reports and conflicting views.

While many reports has attributed the split to domestic violence, the ex-minister has been fighting back by accusing his estranged wife of infidelity.

Precious' sister, Prisca Chikwendu-Nduka, had while corroborating the domestic violence reports, said Fani-Kayode constantly beats his wife even when she was pregnant.

However, the ex-minister's third wife, Gina Hall, rose in defence of her husband, stating that he had never abused her since she tied the knot with him 23 years ago.

Fani-Kayode also recently caused a stir on social media after he shared photos of himself alongside a beautiful lady identified as Halima Yusuf.

The development had sparked rumours, with some hinting he was already considering a fifth wife, a claim the ex-minister would later come out to dismiss, saying she's just a good friend.

Fani-Kayode had first married Saratu Attah in 1987. The duo, however, split three years later.

In 1991, the ex-minister married Yemisi Adeniji but they were separated by 1995.

His third marriage was to Regina-Hanson Amonoo, also known as Gina Hall in 1997 after which he tied the knot with Precious Chikwendu in 2014.
