"I caught her in bed with a married man" - Fani-Kayode says as video of him abusing Precious Chikwendu surfaces

A video of former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, verbally abusing his now estranged wife, Precious Chikwendu, has surfaced online.

The video come weeks after the couple separated, with reports attributing the split to domestic violence and infidelity.

In the video, which was recorded by Precious, and shared online by Sahara Reporters, the ex-minister was seen visibly angry, pacing round the room while talking to his wife.

He can be heard telling her, "record, record, that's what you ever do. Go and record anything you like. Everytime scandal after scandal, everytime insults, for God's sake what's your problem. Everybody wants peace, but you know it must be insults, it must be this, it must that.

Then Precious replied him, "you have been abusing me since and I said no words to you."

Fani- Kayode then rushed towards her, and she can be heard shouting, "leave me alone, stop abusing me." While he was saying, "who the hell are you?"

Hours after the video emerged, Fani-Kayode took to his social media platforms to react.

The ex-minister claimed the altercation with his wife was because he caught her in bed with a married man few days earlier.

He wrote: "Sahara Reporters posted a video which supposedly depicts me ABUSING my estranged wife. This is nothing but a propaganda video. There was NO physical abuse.I simply took the phone from her to stop her from recording me after catching her in bed with a married man days earlier.

"I repeat there was NO physical abuse whatsoever and she had been insulting and subjecting everybody, including family members, staff and children, to PHYSICAL and VERBAL abuse the whole day. As usual, it was a nightmare!

'My words in the video are self explanatory. I urge those that watched it to listen to those words carefully. I told her that everyone wanted peace except for her and all she did was indulge in scandal after scandal. I have NEVER physically abused my estranged wife."

Reports had attributed the split between the now estranged couple to domestic violence infidelity.

Precious' sister, Prisca Chikwendu-Nduka, had while corroborating the domestic violence reports, said Fani-Kayode constantly beats his wife even when she was pregnant.

The ex-minister's third wife, Regina Hall, however , rose in defence of her husband, stating that he had never abused her since she tied the knot with him 23 years ago.

Fani-Kayode also recently caused a stir on social media after he shared photos of himself alongside a beautiful lady identified as Halima Yusuf.

The development had sparked rumours, with some hinting he was already considering a fifth wife, a claim the ex-minister would later come out to dismiss, saying she's just a good friend.
