"I was following my own reality" - Ozo on expressing feelings for Nengi in BBNaija house

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ozoemena Joseph Chukwu has opened up on what fuelled his determination to go after Nengi.

Ozo, who was evicted on Sunday, gained fame for persistently expressing his feelings to his fellow housemate.

Speaking to show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the reality TV star revealed that Nengi's strength first drew him to her. His feelings, however, got intense following a conversation they had after his birthday.

"I think my birthday, she came to me and started saying 'I know you have feelings for me but this is what the whole situation is like for me. We should at least try and be friends'. At that point, I knew that because of how I felt for her, if I went into trying to be friends, I knew it would still get me to this point", Ozo said.

Ozo said he knew that the BBNaija was not a love show but he was living his own reality.

"So, I just made a conscious decision that this is what it is. I said I wouldn't want to worry about public perception because I know it is not a love TV show but I was following my own reality," he said.

Ozo also denied claims that Kiddwaya’s friendship was a threat to his relationship with Nengi.

He told Ebuka that he had a conversation with Kiddwaya and he warned him to be careful.

This was because of the second strike he received after writing a love letter to Nengi.

“I had a conversation with Kiddwaya and I said his carefree personality was something I didn’t like.

"He even advised me not to get a third strike after I got my second one.”

When asked of his plans for the future, Ozo said will pursue his career in sport administration development.
