Mykel Ajaere, Wisdom Nwankwo, Chioma Ukeaja emerges new Exco of Nigerian Movie Producers Association

The Association of Movie Producers Nigeria (AMP) on Saturday elected new members into its national executive.

The election which held at the Association Secretariat at number 16, Bassey Ogamba Street, Sururelere, Lagos, saw Mykel Parish Ajaere emerging as the national president of AMP in a keenly contested election.

The election which was initially scheduled to hold in Asaba, the Delta state capital, was moved to Lagos following some controversies.

Ajaere defeated Peace Anyian Osigwe, founder of globally acclaimed film ceremony, Africa Movie Academy Awards, pulling a total number of 25 votes to Anyian Osigwe's 13 votes.

Other AMP members elected into the national exco on Saturday include, Ifeanyi Ezekwe National Secretary, Rose Eya Okwoli as the Vice President.

Others are Wisdom Nwankwo as Public Relations Officer (PRO), Opeyemi Olusanya as Treasurer, Chioma Rose Ukeaja as the Financial Secretary and Vitus Nnebue as National Provost

The election, strictly conducted under the guidelines on social distancing, was done both physically and virtually while members of the association watched on zoom and also cast their votes.
