The last may not be heard from the Association of Movie Producers Nigeria (AMP)'s elections held on Saturday.

The association had held a parallel elections in Asaba, Delta state, and Lagos, after dispute over the conduct of the exercise.

The election had produced a parallel executives, with Mykel Parish Ajaere and Peace Anyian-Osigwe emerging as the presidents of AMP, in Lagos and Asaba, respectively.

While each group are claiming to be legitimate, the Producers Board of Trusts (BoT) Chairman, Zeb Ejiro, was allegedly held hostage for hours by Adedayo Thomas, the Director General  of National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB)

The NFVCB DG is said to have blocked Ejiro from attending the Lagos election so as to discredit the exercise.

Thomas is said to be in support of the Asaba faction that elected Anyiam-Osigwe as its President.

According to TMZNaija sources, Thomas wants to impose Anyiam Osigwe on AMP.

Ejiro confirmed he was held hostage in a private chat with Ralph Nwadike, the outgoing President of AMP.

In the chat, Ejiro alleged that the Censors Board DG prevented him from leaving with thugs and accused him of rushing to Lagos endorse Parish Ajaere.
