Group raises over N22 million for children of woman murdered by fiancé in Lagos

Accessing Grants for Startups (AGS Tribe) has succeeded in raising over N22 million for the children of the woman murdered by her fiance in Lagos.

Olamide Alli was murdered on June 21 by her fiancé, Chris Ndukwe, who also took his own life, leaving behind two children





Chris allegedly stabbed the 25-year-old to death with knives in his apartment in Lekki and allegedly committed suicide by drinking a substance suspected to be an insecticide.

TMZNaija had reported how AGS Tribe, a Digital Hub for Female Entrepreneurs & Professionals, had launched the crowdfunding initiative for the education and upkeep of two little children.

The founder of the group, Ifedayo Durosinmi-Etti, has said that Olamide was one of its members, and called called on Nigerians to assist the children who have become orphans.

She said the crowdfunding initiative was with the permission of the family of Alli and that the funds raised would be managed by First Bank of Nigeria’s Quest Trustees.

According to the organization, all proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to set up a Trust Fund for her children (7 and 3 years old).

The initial target for the Trust Fund was set at N20 million, but exactly a week after it first made the announced, the AGS Tribe has now announced that it has exceeded the set target, raising over N22million.

"Exactly a week after the first announcement, we have been able to surpass our target. This is actually WILD!", the group said in a post on social media.
