Dr. Dre reveals prenup in response to wife’s divorce petition

US rapper and producer, Andre Romelle Young, better known as Dr. Dre, has replied to his wife’s divorce petition, revealing they have a prenuptial agreement that could prevent her from getting half of his fortune.

Nicole Young had filed for divorce from him after citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for separation. She also demanded spousal support and and a division of property.

According to TMZ, Dre filed his response in court on Wednesday, agreeing to spousal support but noting that the division of assets should be determined by the prenuptial agreement they had.

Dre lists the date of separation as March 27, 2020, just weeks after the coronavirus lockdown began.

While reports had earlier claimed the duo didn’t have a prenup agreement as Young didn’t mention it in her filing, it is understood that issues relating to child support or custody are nonexistent.
