Olamide Alli had concerns about marrying Chris Ndukwe before he killed her, voice note reveals

An audio recording has emerged which shows the woman murdered by her fiance in Lekki, Lagos had concerns about getting married to her eventual killer.

Olamide Alli was murdered on June 21 by her fiancé, Chris Ndukwe, who also took his own life, leaving behind two children.

The deceased had back in 2018 voiced concerns about her intending wedding to Chris to a friend.

In the voice note, Olamide told her friend that her wedding to Chris has been scheduled for October of that year, however, she wasn't sure she wanted to get married to him.

She said they've known each other for years and they have two kids together, but she doesn't want the kids to be the only reason she's getting married.

Explaining why she's having second thoughts about marrying his fiance, Olamide said she isn't sure they know each other well enough.

The wedding didn't hold again in October 2018 and was postponed to August 2020. Unfortunately, he murdered her in June, leaving behind their sons, aged 7 and 3.

Before killing her, Chris locked her up in his Lekki apartment, put on loud music, then tied her up, covered her mouth with a duct tape, before he proceeded to pull out her braids from the roots, one after the other.

He allegedly stabbed her to death afterwards with knives and committed suicide by drinking Sniper, a popular insecticide that has been used by many to commit suicide.

Olamide and Chris are said to have had off and on relationship for years before he gruesomely murdered her.

Activist Esther Ijiwere, who shared the voice note, advised women to leave if they aren't certain about a relationship.
