Gov. Ortom speaks on his future in APC

Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom has said he would soon make a final decision on his future in the All Progressives Congress, APC.

According to the governor, the suspense would soon be over as he would make his intention known in no distant time.

Ortom had on Monday alleged that the ruling APC had issued him a red card, stressing that he was no longer a member of the party.

However, after a meeting with the APC chairman, Adams Oshiomhole on Thursday, the governor swallowed his word and rescinded that he was still flying the party’s flag.

The Cable reports that while receiving members of the OnTiv Professionals Association in Abuja on Friday, Ortom confirmed his exit from the party.

Ortom said comments and write-ups in the media alleging that he had made a u-turn were unfounded, saying that his earlier statement regarding a red card remained the same.
"I can assure you and the good people of Benue that there is no going back on my decision to exit from the APC.
At the appropriate time in the next few weeks, I would make my next move public"
