Zahra Buhari’s wedding reportedly postponed

The wedding ceremony of Zahra Buhari, daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari has been postponed, Daily Trust reports.

Zahra was reportedly expected to get married to Ahmed Indimi, son of billionaire, Mohammed Indimi during the weekend.

According to the media outfit, the wedding was postponed due to the President’s insistence on a low-key ceremony.

There has been reports the family of the groom presented 30 customized boxes to Zahra Buhari in 30 exotic cars as part of the culture in Northern Nigeria.

It was reported that the bags allegedly cost £120,000 (N47m).

An introduction ceremony between both families had earlier held at the Aso Villa, Abuja on Friday, November 18, with the wedding programme scheduled between Wednesday 30th November and Sunday 4th December, 2016.

On Monday, Indimi’s daughter, Rahama, posted Zahra’s picture on her Instagram Page, saying that her family is “happy to have (Zahra) as one of” theirs.

See her post below:
"I met this young girl many years ago and I was smitten by her cheekiness. Only years later down the line she is to become ours. My darling Zahra, you are an amazing young lady with so much to give. We have seen and conquered our mission. My prayer is for the two of you to have a beautiful marriage and life with plenty of little ‘rahma’s running around (hint hint😉 ) we are happy to have you as one of us. Good things are hard to get and the fight was worth it. We can’t wait #zahmed2016 "
